Carpools must consist of two or more active MDC students or faculty/staff who carpool at least three days a week on average. Participants MUST have a valid MDC I.D. and current MDC automobile decal.
Carpool teams registered with South Florida Commuter Services will receive a carpool parking permit. This carpool permit must be displayed on the dashboard of the carpooling vehicle in order to park at the preferential parking spaces. Only one permit will be issued per carpool team. Whenever participants switch automobiles, please remember to transfer the parking permit and display it on the dashboard.
Parking at the Preferential Parking Spaces for Carpoolers is on a first come first served basis.
Unauthorized vehicles parked in the carpooling spaces without valid carpooling permits, valid MDC-ID or current MDC decal, will be subject to the following enforcement:
• First offense, will result in a printed violation
• Second offense, will result in an orange sticker affixed to your car
• Third offense, will result in either suspension of parking privileges or towing of the vehicle at the owners expense.
Thank you for your cooperation as Miami Dade College takes action to lessen our carbon footprint.
Carpool parking spaces are available during the times that the lots are open.
Hours of Operation:
Monday through Friday (closed on Saturday & Sunday)
Lot #1 (100 NE 3rd Street): 7AM to 7PM

NO. A minimum of two registered carpool participants must be seen exiting a vehicle utilizing a carpool parking spot. If you are found parking in a designated carpool parking spot as a single commuter or with someone other than your registered carpool partner(s), you will be in violation of the program.
Based on the information provide in your registration, SFCS carpool software will validate that your carpool makes a logical commute to campus. In addition, your registration will be sent to the Wolfson Campus Public Safety Department to verify current status at MDC.
You must register your carpool with MDC's partner South Florida Commuter Services:

Only one permit is provided per carpool. If you utilize more than one vehicle getting to and from school, you must physically transfer the permit between vehicles.
Once your registration is verified by the Wolfson Campus Public Safety Department, permits will be provided within 7-10 business days. The permit will be mailed to the home address of the first registrant.
Permits will be valid for one semester. At the end of the semester you will receive a renewal notification from South Florida Commuter Services (SFCS) asking if you are interested in renewing or revising your registration. If you renew your carpool, a new updated permit will be provided to your carpool.
If your carpool arrangements change during the semester, it is extremely important that you update your carpool registration information. Information on your carpool is sent to the Wolfson Campus Public Safety department and is used to validate the eligible participants and vehicles using the spaces. For any changes, just re-submit a carpool registration form and your information will be automatically updated.
If you are a registered carpool member found violating the program, your permit will be taken on the spot and you will not be eligible to participate in the program for at least one semester. Recurring violations can lead to vehicle being towed and/or suspension or revoking of parking privileges. This includes utilizing the spaces without a valid Carpool Parking Permit and/or MDC Parking Decal.
The Wolfson Campus Public Safety Officers and Parking Attendants monitor the spaces. They have the authority to revoke your permit on the spot should you be found violating the program. They also receive reports on the individuals and vehicles registered to utilize the carpool parking spaces.
If you still have questions regarding the carpool parking program, please visit the Wolfson Campus Public Safety Department or contact South Florida Commuter Services at 1-800-234-RIDE (7433).
