Emissions from motor vehicles are the largest source of air pollution in our state, causing reduced air quality and contributing to global warming. By carpooling or using public transportation, you could reduce your carbon footprint by 4,800 pounds of CO₂ each year.
When you do drive your car, there are still some things you can do to increase your fuel efficiency. For instance, making sure your tires are properly inflated and your air filter is clean can reduce your fuel usage by 13 percent.
